Last Thursday we visited The Denver Botanic Gardens with my daughter’s First Grade class. It was beyond amazing. I was blown away with it’s beauty. When we arrived, we were welcomed to the Gardens with this Bamboo sculpture. I love it because it reminds me of an Artist’s sketch. There were outdoor and indoor gardens. We concentrated our time in mostly one area of the outdoor Gardens, but there is much more to see! Her class was supposed to look for Bugs and explore the flower area. We found LadyBug’s and Dragonfly’s among other things!
AND in the WATER GARDEN the Lilypads were GIGANTIC (see picture above)!!
It must be the perfect climate for these flowers, because they were just GORGEOUS! It was a dream for me to take pictures of all the beautiful flowers. I could have many spent hours there. I will definitely go back very, very soon!
After all the exploring, we had a picnic lunch…which was fun with 25 First Graders!
At the end of our exploring, we visited the Tropical Conservatory. We loved it, because it reminded us of FLORIDA! There were flowers in there that were in our yard back in Florida which excited the little butterfly a bunch!
It was a PERFECT day!
